World Cup 2010 Reviews

The World Cup 2010 is just round the corner. And I would like to take this opportunity to give my view on this coming world cup. For a start, this final round of World Cup will be held in South Africa. The world cup will be last for 1 month, starting from 11 June.

This round world cup features Zakumi as the Mascot. Zakumi is a fluffy young leapord, with green dreadlocks and a wide happy smile. FIFA has announced the slogan for the mascot as:

“ZAKUMI: The Mascot with an attitude!”

Next, let’s focus at the most controversial item in this coming WOrld Cup, the ball, known as Jabulani. The ball has received few negative comment from goalkeepers, with the likes of Iker Casillas and Davis James. Jabulani, which means ‘to celebrate’ is the name of the official soccer ball for the final campaign of the World Cup 2010 South Africa. Thi s new ball features a developed Grip’n’Groove ball technology. It is believed that the ball has the ability of an exceptional stable flight and perfect grip under all conditions. The ball is much more accurate and perfectly round than before with only eight, themally bonded 3-D panels, which are spherically molded for the first time.This Adidas soccer ball is made of eleven different colors, which defines the eleventh Adidas World Cup ball. On top of that, this eleven colors also represent the 11 players in each team in a playing game, the 11 official languages of South Africa and the 11 South African tribes. Next, the four triangle-shaped design elements on the white background give the ball a unique appearance in African spirit.

Even with the top 2 odds will be Spain & Brazil to reach Final, but I have my own personal opinion on the 2 teams that gonna reach final.. I think, the final will involve Argentina & Holland. Although the odds of these 2 teams to reach final are 4.5 and 7 respectively, maybe because of my personal interest on these 2 teams, I choose them to be in final.
