At the age of 48, Whitney Houston was announced dead in a hotel room at the Beverly Hilton hotel. The Beverly Hills Police Department confirmed that the singer died at 3.55pm US time.
Whitney Houston was famous for her powerful voice.

Tonight, Anugerah Juara Lagu ke-26 (AJL 26) will be shown live at TV3, 9pm. The event, which will take place at Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil will be performed by 12 artist, both individuals and groups. The theme for this AJL26 is water.
MAK will try to give live update of the event. Stay tune!
The event is opened with a. performance by Jamal Abdillah with his song Senandung Semalam. An evergreen voice by the legend of pop.
This is follow by Awie of Wings with his song Bujang Senang. As usual, the rock legend gave his full rock performance.
Then, queen of jazz ,Sheila Majid made her performance, with her song Warna. It has been quite sometime MAK heard Sheila giving her nice voice. Still steadylah Sheila.
The host for the final AJL 26 is Cheryl Samad and Faizal Ismail
AJL26 contest started with Project Pistol making the performance. With the song Wanita Seluruh Dunia, the group made an interesting show with additional sound of trumpets. Boy Clifford’s voice is great! MAK love u Boy.
2nd to make the performance was Jacklyn Victor with her song Sedetik Lebih. Jac’s voice does not disappointed MAK, so powerful!
3rd to perform was Kekanda Adinda Song by Monoloque and Atilia. With a stunning additional sounds, the song was nice to hear. Not forgetting the costume, unique!
4th to take the stage was Yuna, with her song Gadis Semasa. A neat performance with consistent voice.
5th performance was by Suhaimi Mior Hassan, Ana Rafali dan Ultimate with their song Kalau Berpacaran. A good performance by the trio and the backup dancers.
6th to perform was Najwa Latif with her song Cinta Muka Buku. A modern concept performance, it is really hard to believe it came from a 16 year old girl. Thumbs up Najwa!
The hosts then announced the winner for Anugerah Juara Mobile Celcom, for most downloaded song and the champion is Sedetik Lebih!
7th to perform was Faizal Tahir with his song, Karma. Faizal never come short is his performance. Although this time it is a simple performance with small gimmick of fire over piano, go against the AJL26 concept of water, Faizal still MAK see has that aura!
8th performance was from Alyah, with the song Kisah Hati. A good performance, with a concept of musical doll turns into life and couple with Remy Ishak.
9th making performance was Aizat with his song Sungai Lui. With background of a man performing sand drawing using hand, Aizat made a simple performance, yet interesting.
10th to performance is once again, Yuna with her song Penakut. Again, Yuna show consistency in her performance.
11th to take the stage is Hafiz with his song Awan Nano. No doubt that Hafiz’s voice is among the best. And, a very impactful performance.
And the final to make the performance is a trio 3 Suara of Sheila Amzah, Jacklyn Victor and Ning Baizura, with their song of Beribu Sesalan. A combination of 3 powerful voices, keeping compliment each other, the song is at its best!
This AJL has also pay tribute to Allahyarham Dato’ Sudirman Haji Arshad, with performance by Black, Hazama and Azlan.
And the champion is Awan Nano by Hafiz. Beribu Sesalan by 3 Suara (Sheila Amzah, Jac & Ning Baizura) took 2nd place, while Karma by Faizal Tahir is in 3rd place.
The best performance is Kisah Hati by Alyah, while the best vocal is Awan Nano by Hafiz.

Who will emerge as the champion of Final Maharaja Lawak Mega 2011. 4 contestant will try their best, with the like of Osbon, Boboi, Syok and Saehu. But most viewers predict either Boboi or Osbon will become the 1st ever champion of this competition. Raja Lawak is a platform for new comedian to show their talent, of which later determine if they are suitable to be in the entertainment business. And 2012 will be the 6th season of Raja Lawak. New format of the reality show will be introduced of which the participant will be divided into 3 groups and lead by Chief Kecil, former Raja Lawak partipants, namely Pak Yus, Taukeh and Angah. Above Chief Kecil, sits Ahmad Idham as Chief Besar.
Raja Lawak will be shown live starting with Al-Kisah Raja Lawak on 11 January 2012 and then Gelanggang Raja Lawak will start on 13th January 2012. This program will be shown on Astro Warna Channel 132, which means viewers will have enroll Mustika Package, not as before free at Astro Prima Channel 105.

Asmidar or her full name Norhasmidar Bt Ahmad has become the 1st ever champion for the reality show Vokal Bukan Sekadar Rupa. She has successfully beat Mafarikha Bt Md Akhir (Mafa) in the final concert of ‘Vokal’, held on 25th December 2011 at Plaza Alam Sentral, Shah Alam, Selangor.
With this, Asmidar won cash money of RM50,000 and a trophy, while Mafa got RM30,000 and trophy.
MAK would like to congrate both ‘new artist’ for their good performance in the final & may their future in entertainment business continues.

Yusri KRU and Lisa Surihani has recently announced about their wedding to be, which will be on the 23rd of February 2012. They will tie their knot at Masjid Tuanki Mizan Zainal Abidin, Putrajaya. The reception will be in Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) on the 26th February 2012.
The announcement was made on the 24th December, 11.30am at Marriot Putrajaya Resort & Spa.
MAK would like to take the opportunity to pray their happiness together and may everything run smooth with the ceremony.

Tonight, we will know who is the most ‘Lawak’ king in Malaysia. 4 partipants will performe their very best to win the Maharajalawak 2011, and they are Nabil (solo), Jozan (Group), Sepah (Group) and Jambu (Group). If MAK were to choose who is the winner, MAK will say Jozan. This is based on their consistency in performing comedy, especially these few last episods. At one time MAK thought Jambu could overtake them, but Jambu’s top form only last for few episods, especially the ‘Silent Comedy’. Sepah for MAK is very natural & spontaneous in giving their comedy & for Nabil, MAK salute him as he is the only solo participant to reach the final.

Al-Fatihah to the late Pak Uda.
Pak Uda or his real name Zami Ismail died at IJN 10.30am. The cause was complication of heart. MAK feel so sad that Malaysia has lose an excellent comedian and let us pray may he find peace and bless by god.
